Sometimes when watching TV shows or movies, R and I like to compare celebrities either to other celebrities or to people we know.
This comparison was made while watching the new show The Leftovers on HBO back when it first came out around sometime last year (2014) I believe. The character Tom Garvey is played by actor Chris Zylka, and maybe it is just because he is a tall, muscular, white guy with blond hair and blue eyes, but he totally reminds me of the actor Alan Michael Ritchson (I know him best as the character Thad Castle from Blue Mountain State). They sort of have the same chiseled jaw area, though their chins are two completely different kinds.
Honestly though while watching The Leftovers I loudly exclaimed to R that that guy was totally the guy who plays Thad from Blue Mountain State! I was convinced for a moment, but R never was. He knew that was a completely different actor, so I had to look him up an discovered it was a different guy, a guy named Chris Zylka.
